Maël Ponsard
Captain
Nationality: French Languages: French, English Maël is a French captain with extensive experience across both sailing and motor yachts, combining strong technical knowledge with a genuine passion for life at sea. Holding a Master 500 GT licence as well as an Engineer 250 kW qualification, he has commanded yachts ranging from sailing catamarans to larger performance yachts, most recently a 109-foot sailing yacht. His career has taken him across the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Atlantic and Pacific, including several ocean crossings and numerous seasons operating private and charter yachts. His background on sailing catamarans is particularly extensive, with several seasons as captain aboard yachts between 52 and 70 feet, as well as an Atlantic crossing from Corsica to Martinique. This experience gives him a strong understanding of both sailing and the relaxed lifestyle associated with cruising aboard a catamaran. Calm, approachable and highly attentive to safety, Maël enjoys creating itineraries around the preferences of his guests and sharing his knowledge of anchorages, coastlines and local culture. His experience in guest service, yacht maintenance and technical operations allows him to oversee every aspect of life aboard with confidence and discretion. Away from the helm, Maël is passionate about outdoor pursuits and remains closely connected to the ocean through kitesurfing. He also enjoys skiing, cycling and beekeeping.
Mathis Troubat
Captain
Nationality: French Languages: French, English French chef Mathis Troubat brings seven years of experience spanning Michelin-starred restaurants, luxury yachts and private chalets across France, Australia and Canada. A graduate of the Bernard Loiseau Culinary School, Mathis developed his foundations in demanding restaurant kitchens before expanding his experience internationally. His career includes Maison Clovis in Lyon, a Michelin-starred restaurant, Adler Restaurant in Germany with twoMichelin stars, and Melbourne’s acclaimed Vue de Monde, where he worked within one of Australia’s leading fine-dining kitchens. His transition into private hospitality and yachting has allowed him to develop a more personal approach to cooking. Mathis has worked as sole chef aboard both private and charter yachts, including the 131-foot M/Y Impulsive in Australia and the 82-foot M/Y Imagine in the Mediterranean. He has also spent several winter seasons as a private chalet chef in Megève, taking full responsibility for menu creation, provisioning and daily dining. Mediterranean cuisine sits naturally at the centre of his cooking, with an emphasis on fresh seasonal produce, seafood and carefully balanced dishes. His international restaurant experience also allows him to adapt his menus to different preferences and styles, from relaxed sharing lunches to more elaborate plated dinners. For Mathis, dining is an important part of the experience aboard Hu Lysse, particularly with the yacht’s open main-deck galley placing cuisine at the heart of life on board.
Mattéo Ravon
Captain
Nationality: French Languages: Spanish, French, English Mattéo brings a strong sailing background and an adventurous spirit to Hu-Lysse. A French Captain 200 graduate, he has developed his experience through offshore passages, sailing yachts, catamarans and demanding long-distance deliveries. His recent experience includes serving as second captain aboard a Lagoon 77 during a passage from the Maldives to South Africa, as well as crossing the Atlantic aboard a Sunreef 80 from Toulon to Saint Martin. He also participated in the delivery of a new Sunreef 80 from Gdańsk to Saint-Tropez, giving him valuable first-hand experience with large Sunreef sailing catamarans. Before moving into larger yachts, Mattéo spent several years sailing around Réunion Island, the Canary Islands and the Mediterranean, participating in local regattas and developing a strong practical understanding of sailing, manoeuvring, maintenance and seamanship. Energetic and naturally comfortable around the water, he particularly enjoys the active side of life on board. His experience includes fishing, watersports, beach club operations and assisting guests with water activities, making him a natural presence on deck and around HuLysse’s extensive selection of toys. A keen sailor and surfer, Mattéo also enjoys paddleboarding, fishing, travelling and playing guitar.

Alixia also has a genuine passion for food. During her most recent position aboard Inoui, she worked as head chef, preparing Mediterranean and Asian-inspired cuisine for owners and guests, and she has completed dedicated sushi training in Marseille. This culinary understanding is a valuable complement to her hospitality experience and gives her an excellent appreciation of the details involved in food and beverage service.
